Community Model
Pilot: Gediz RegionRenewable Energy Cooperatives (YEK)
Shared ownership of microgrids for local communities
The Renewable Energy Cooperatives (YEK) model enables communities, particularly in rural areas, to pool their resources and become joint owners of microgrids and energy storage systems. The model is supported by a blockchain-based P2P energy trading platform, smart meters, and a demand management system. A pilot program is underway in the Gediz Electricity Distribution Region.
